World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on June 5 (this year Saturday, June 4th for Cleanup Solano) to focus the world’s attention on a pressing environmental issue. WED strives to raise awareness and encourage action for the environment. It offers an opportunity to reflect on accomplishments and renew our resolve in overcoming the environmental challenges facing the world today.
This year's theme is Only One Earth - focusing on living sustainably and in harmony with nature. The 2022 WED global campaign marks the 50th anniversary of the UN Conference on Human Environment, which led to the creation of World Environment Day. 50 years later, the original theme of Only One Earth is back.
We are excited to connect you with the global effort, #OnlyOneEarth.
